Don’t you feel like sometimes you need a vacation from your vacation?! With all the constant travel that my job entails, sometimes I just need some time out here in Dubai to relax and recharge. That is where Jumeirah Emirates Towers comes in – the perfect place for the ultimate UAE staycation.
Eddy and I checked in and were over the moon when we saw our incredible room – the amazing Executive Tower Corner Suite! My favourite feature would have to be the majlis in the corner of the bedroom with unbelievable views of the Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai and Sheikh Zayed road. The perfect place to relax in a cozy bathrobe and take in the stunning views.
The biggest surprise and most unique gift I have ever received was this array of welcome sweets. The photo of in the middle of the spread is a white chocolate version of my display picture on Instagram – how fantastic is that!! Another great little touch was the personalised stationary available to use during the course of our stay.
If you know me, you will know how much I appreciate tea time. I was delighted to find out that Jumeriah Emirates Towers had a Chopard Afternoon Tea available in the Daefi Lobby Lounge. With gold sofas, beautiful blooms and soaring ceilings I felt like we had been transported to another world. We enjoyed five lovely courses presented by Chopard that included bespoke pieces of Chopard crockery.
Emirates Towers even have an entire Chopard Ladies floor where you can be pampered by an entirely dedicated female staff. I definitely will be looking into this the next time my mum visits Dubai. These rooms include Chopard amenities and toiletries, private cosmetic refrigerators and in-room yoga facilities. How magical!
On our quest for complete relaxation we were thrilled to find out that Talise Spa conveniently located in the hotel had the perfect treatment available. The Talise Spa exclusive floatation therapy pool is a first of its kind in Dubai. It allows not only one, but two people at a time to float completely unaided in salt water while listening to lovely soothing music. This is achieved by mixing 300kg of epsom salts with magnesium, the water is then heated to precisely 36 degrees. A one hour float session has actually been scientifically proven to be as beneficial as eight hours of sleep and relieves symptoms of stress, anxiety, pain and eases jet lag. This couldn’t be a more perfect treatment for Eddy and I!!
I was a bit sceptical at first but as soon as I hopped in I felt like I was floating in mid-air, this futuristic pool was simulating zero gravity, it was incredible! I can only imagine that this is just how the Dead Sea feels in Jordan – amazing. So if you too want to experience complete relaxation and private quality time try a float treatment in the saltwater flotation pool at Talise Spa. You truly will have a one of a kind experience and instantly feel recharged!
After a hot bath with views of Downtown Dubai lighting up as night fell we realised we had become a bit peckish. It was time for some dinner and we knew the perfect place – The Rib Room, Emirates Towers steakhouse. With cozy booths and great ambience it was the perfect way to end our day of complete relaxation. I opted for the dover sole meunière and Eddy the German pork ribs. With some calamari and oysters mixed in too, the Rib Room really has something to satisfy everyones tastes. We were very thankful to Head Chef Ismail Kureshi who sent over the creme brûlée which did not disappoint at all!!
We were spoiled with extraordinary service, exquisite gastronomy, stunning views and the most beautiful suite. A big thank you to Jumeirah Emirates Towers for the fabulous stay, when can I move in?!
Here is one more little tip – if you ever stay in a Jumeirah Hotel you will be granted unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark and Jumeriah’s private beach. Jumeirah Emirates Towers is the only Dubai city hotel to do this, so remember to take advantage of that for a fun day out in the sun!
